“Jane is a wife and mother who's stuck in a rut. Spending too much time at the gym perfecting her physique, she learns that what she really wants is someone new to share her body with.

After Margot's divorce, she's feeling frumpy and unloved. Until one day, Jane corners her in the dressing room and makes it perfectly clear that she finds her ripe curves desirable.

Together, the couple shares the passion they thought long dead, and in doing so, discover they harbor a deeper need—to find love.”

Let me start by saying Ms. Petrova has a gift for writing hot love scenes.  I do believe my screen almost lit on fire. Her characters are likeable and believable. More importantly she tackles the issue of infidelity in such a manor that this reviewer who doesn’t usually like stories involving cheating spouses had no issues with it.

Even in the short 27 pages we are given, Em Petrova crafted a tale that was beautifully written and a pleasure to read.  I for one can’t wait to read more of her work.

The series continues to get better and better and I really enjoy the developing relationship between the two main characters, Matt and Vic.

In book 10 of the series, the two lovers decide to take a vacation, although Vic is reluctant. He worries about the new powers he keeps getting from Matt when they make love. And the one he develops this time could really cause trouble for him. You will just have to read the short story yourself and find out what it is.

Love isn’t easy sometimes, especially when you’re supposed to be enemies.

Sasha St. Claire is a vampire running a fragrance industry by day and stalking werewolves by night as an assassin.

Trapp Stefano works in Sasha’s maintenance department and kills vampires and is now after her. Can a love relationship get any more complicated?

This is the second in the author’s Assassins in Lace series and I wished I had read the first book. Scents isn’t reliant on having read the first book, but it would be good to do so because this looks to be a very hot, very good series to follow.

Cassie Whittington's inheritance of fifteen million dollars has been put on hold while vengeful family members contest the will. But the potential loss of wealth is the least of her worries -- her ex-husband has re-entered her life and is wrecking havoc on her relationship with Sam Barlow, her boss at the landscape company. Cassie has to make a choice: return to her old life with Charlie or start a new life with Sam. An added complication is a police investigation involving Livvie, Cassie's dearest friend, and Livvie's fiance, who is accused of murdering the head chef at a prestigious local restaurant. Truffles and treachery may combine, preventing Cassie from making any choices ever again....

This is a light and fun suspense novel in the tradition of a cozy mystery and a great book to enjoy while curled up by the fireplace or lounging in front of the pool. Cassie is an interesting heroine and proves that life doesn’t have to get boring as you get older. I’m looking forward to a little gray in my hair if I can enjoy the same escapades she does. The supporting cast in this story is lovable and laughable and I loved the kitty antics. I’m looking forward to seeing just what Cassie and her cohorts will get up to in the next Deadly Landscaping adventure. J L Wilson gives readers a witty whodunit packed with remarkable characters and a charming location.

Be careful what you wish for.

Ophelia's had a wicked crush on Martin since they were kids, but she was always just his geeky little friend. Then, on the first day of her junior year, he's suddenly and wildly attracted to her. She can't imagine what's changed, but shocking her small school's social order fills her with vindication for insults suffered.

Ophelia meets Adrian right after and true love extinguishes the wicked crush. In secret, he gives her courage against a specter threat.

Tristan is pale and hungry, and draws Martin's immediate ire. He knows things about Ophelia which she assumes are delusions brought on by an aggravated illness like her own, diabetes. When battle breaks out between his ancient race and new blood, even the courage of her secret love might be crushed.

I found this to be a very enjoyable prequel to Sugar Rush and it answered a lot of questions for me as to why someone as intelligent as Ophelia would ever be with a bully like Martin. It also left me wanting many more answers and a longing for another chapter in Ophelia’s chronicles. The young heroine and her sister are extremely likable and easy to relate to. I loved the fact the twins had such different personalities and that Ophelia was on the nerdy side. My only issue was that for a young adult novel some of the language and situations seemed a little too mature for younger readers. I look forward to seeing what else Kimber An can create and share with us.

Running and screaming will have to wait. A blood-sucking dead guy may be a vampire to you, but he's an alien/human hybrid to Ophelia and she really must examine his olfactory nerve under a microscope first.

Ophelia longs to be free, free of diabetes, free of her ex-boyfriend, free to live. Something transformed Martin and made her his drug. If he has his way, she'll never achieve the freedom to learn his true nature and origin.

Adrian's the new guy in school. He faked his identity to get close to Ophelia, knowing the monsters who took his diabetic sister would try to take Ophelia, too. Then, he'd have them. But, he knew better than to get too close.

Oh, yeah, he did. Seriously.

I loved the fact that the heroine is such a Trekkie, as it is not only unusual to find a nerdy female lead but even harder to find a die-hard geek like Ophelia. With her health issues and her weird boyfriend problems it wasn’t hard to feel sympathy for her. Bianca her twin is over the top fun and a great complement to her sister’s serious character. My only issue is that for such an intelligent girl it takes Ophelia an awful long time to figure out who her secret admirer is so the story dragged a little for me. I enjoyed the unique paranormal aspect and the over all tone of the story. The descriptions and the location added to my satisfaction, as did the supporting characters. Martin might have been totally creepy but he was extremely well written. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for Ophelia. I recommend this one for anybody looking for a rare take on vampires and shapeshifters.

He was watching as she approached, a red-hot woman in cool black leather. She was more than he ever dreamed he could handle, but when she made her demands known, he had no choice but to capitulate to this exotic, mysterious, and all too delicious biker broad.

Some fantasy play is better than others, this was really good.

I don’t want to say much and give away the story, which was very short…very hot. I’ll just say you need to read this story.

A wonderful story that began with Phantasmagoric Feast and, hopefully, will continue soon.

Toby Heaton is a human with a special ability to bestow a vampire’s ability to walk in daylight again, if he loves the vampire. The decision is tough to make and then complicated by being abducted by his vampire lover’s enemy.

De Valis is a vampire whose lover faces secrets, decisions, and his life-long enemy.

I enjoyed the new look into these characters, the next complication in their lives. There was heat and there was good emotional depth. A good read, if you have the patience to wait for the next story in the series.

This book contains two different stories from this author. These are older stories about love, lust and the paranormal. Each one filled with emotional characters yearning for much more than what they have.

In the first story we meet Diana and Jarrett. The sparks fly between these two right from the start but can Diana let go of the past and her fears to reach for her happiness? Jarrett comes off as arrogant and mean but we find that he does have a heart after all. The love between Diana and Jarrett was a nice read. I enjoyed seeing both of them let their guards down and try for the love that is waiting for them but would have also liked a bit more character development in this story.

In the second story we meet Anna a distraught wife who finds out her life is nothing but a sham. After years of pain and suffering she finds her courage to walk away. For years now Anna has left flowers and prayed to the gods. Her prayers and offerings have not been in vain for one amongst the gods has noticed her. Can Anna find the love and courage to fulfill her fate?

I enjoyed seeing Anna find herself and take back her life. She is a great woman who has suffered much in her life but has continued on. Tez is a god who gives himself wholeheartedly and as long as you are ready to fight for your life, he will stand by you. He has found one he loves in Anna and gives her the chance to love him. Watching their relationship develop was a great read. The love that the two have shines right off of the pages.

Sheri Gilmore weaves dark and mysterious worlds in this book and keeps the reader engrossed in the story all the way to the end.

Sunny mixes business with pleasure when it comes time to buy a new vehicle. Ron is the policeman who puts an end to one pleasure- only to begin yet another...

Wow, for a quick read, this story is scorching and full of depth. Not many authors can pull that off, but Kissa Starling did. Profiling is told from two points of view, first in the heroine's, and she comes off as a shallow wench with nothing on her mind but getting laid. Whereas, the second part of the story, told from our hero's POV, was a real shocker to me. Not sure why, but I expected the guy to simply be a cop taking advantage of a slut's come-on during a traffic stop. Instead, the author got totally into his head and revealed some cool things about his background, lifestyle and behavior. I wasn't expecting the layers of his story and they were really fun.

Take some time during your lunch break and read this story for dessert. However, it may leave you a little hot and bothered, so be forewarned.

Jack is smart. Jack is charming. Jack is persistent.
But Melissa is dead certain that he isn't the guy for her. In a moment of weakness caused by his shiver-inducing voice, Melissa finally agrees to one date. She shows up on his doorstep determined to get it over and done with, but Jack has something different planned. With a home-cooked meal, wine, and cinnamon-scented candles, can he break down Melissa's resolve?
Can he steal her heart?

LK Below gives readers a leading man who knows exactly what he wants and tonight he is going to get it. She also gives most women what they want as well, a man who cooks. Jack is an average guy with a hint of geek  and it was fun watching him get past our heroine's defenses. He is romantic and passionate while remaining completely believable. This man isn't just a fantasy, he's reality. I loved how we got to experience the evening through Melissa's eyes. This was a fantastic quick treat that was both sweet and sexy and can be enjoyed at anytime, while relaxing or even during a busy day. This is fun story and I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.
