This is a second chance at love story between a man who believed he had been heartlessly betrayed by the woman he loved and the woman who hadn’t had a choice. The conflicts, both internal and external, were handled well. The emotions were clearly deep for all of the characters.
I enjoyed the story and loved the hero’s (Dmitry) struggle with his needing Karri and battling against that need. His breaking point line of It was like she took away the violence and bloodstains on his soul with her touch that touched me, too.
