Colt Alvarez needed to be engaged by New Year’s Day or he’d lose his uncle’s ranch. He contacted Madame Evangeline’s 1Night Stand matchmaking service in hopes of meeting the bride requirement. Enter Libby Morris.

Libby was the chubby kid turned gorgeous babe. Her reason for contacting Madame Evangeline was to be with someone who didn’t know who she had been. Enter the wait for their mysterious dates.

Who they were didn’t seem to matter anymore, Cody and Libby could only think of each other. A letter is handed to Cody changes everything.
For those of you looking for short romantic holiday reads this season I suggest you check out He Came Upon a Midnight Clear. It hits the right spot with romance and holiday magic that only comes but once a year. Desiree Holt’s characters come across as real and relatable. Add a sprinkle of Christmas matchmaking and you have a read that you don’t want to put down. I know I couldn’t.

Susanna Corrigan wanted a man with no ties, no promises and no complications when she signed up for a 1Night Stand. Black hair and cobolt eyes, she’d found a companion. No what? She still hadn’t met her mystery date. Conflict. Love verses career. Who was she kidding?

Gil Santana was looking for a woman who wasn’t the Hollywood actress type. Susanna was it and the letter from Madame Eve confirmed it. She was perfect…until Hollywood reared its head. Could he love her even though she wanted fame?

If you’re looking for a short read while baking those goddies for the holidays I’d recommend you give Santa Cutie a try. It hits the right spot when mixing Christmas magic with the romance of the season. Ceris DeLand did a great job of making her hero and heroine real and believable. A dreamy romance with a twist of realism which I enjoy. Pick it up and check for yourself, I’m sure you will agree.

Bree drooled over the man she nicknamed Mr. Sex God the beginning of every month while waiting for a flight they both took. She wanted him. Could she get him this time?

Steven’s ‘Discipline Always’ motto only gets him so far and a fascinating beauty puts it to the test each month. Will he stop working long enough to fly along with her?

I really enjoyed the heated sexual play between the characters. Come Fly With Me is a nice short erotic read for those who travel along the airways as Bree and Steven do. I’d recommend this to those who enjoy spur of the moment hot reads.

Dreams of a soul mate with a connection so deep that it is known as soon as her eyes saw him lying there in the snows of Alaska. Alita Wickstrom knew the moment she saw Beau Lennon that he was the one she dreamed of. But will what they know and feel be forever? Or just for right now? Will the dangers that Beau dreamed of end what could have been? Or will the buck in Alita’s dreams prevail and claim his mate just as she saw?
Colleen Love wove a wonderful tale of fantasy and love into this on the edge of your seat love story. With the backdrop of the wilds of Alaska, its colorful Aurora Borealis and a spark of magic a true love is found. Something that all of us wish could be and want to read about happening. I recommend those who like a sprinkle of magic with their romance to pick up this book.

The holidays are for happiness and joy, but the first ones after a life changing event are always the hardest. Espiecally when it’s a divorce. But what happens when Santa gets sick and his stand-in is the guy you’ve an interest in? That’s not what Mara Wentworth thought about, the displays had to be perfect for the children. Sam Kendall is the stand-in and a quirk with a prop brings life into focus.

Sally Farley did a good job of portraying a recent divorced woman and her feelings of the approaching holidays. Her worries over her life now that this chapter in her life is over and the spark of interest she finds in another. It was well written and another wonderful addition to the holiday romances out there. As a quick read it’s perfect for the ride to grandma’s house. I recommend it for those who are busy but still want to find a moment for peace that comes with a good book and Christmas.

Ever had the control of your wedding taken out of your hands? Did it ever turn into something you no longer wanted? Or dreamed of it being? That’s what happened to Emma Richards. Her response when asked “What do you want, Emma?” she ran, out on her wedding, parents and her fiancé, Paul. But was that what she really wanted? What did Emma really want?

Crystal Jordan did a real good job of showing what happens when an event like planning a wedding can turn into a nightmare. It’s stressful to begin with but she portrayed the characters as what really can happen. Making it for me more ‘real’, which was a major plus. I connected with the hero and heroine easily. It was a good short read that fits nicely between the mixing of the holiday cake and removing it from the oven. Or even the wait for the cooling so it can be decorated!

Civilian Dispatcher Shannon Mallory takes a call that is about to change her life. And Homicide Detective Hugh Montgomery will find the one lead that will take him to a suspect in a recent murder, all just days before Christmas. Can Shannon put what her ex did behind her and take the protection that Hugh offered?

Suspense and romance, what better to have during the holidays? Keeps you sitting on the edge of your seat and makes you wonder. Will they catch the bad guy? Will they fall in love? Donna Dalton’s story does both. A sweet romance you can start and finish while waiting for the homemade apple pie to bake in the oven. If you’re looking for a read with a sprinkle of mystery and romance but only have a dash of time I recommend this book.

Marti is in a relationship with a married man when Christmas arrives. She believes he loves her and she loves him. But on a spur of the moment decision she heads instead to her family for the holiday but to a sunny tropical island. With a Christmas wish and a little holiday magic she finds the love she thought she already had.

I enjoyed this story immensely. I think Amber Polo did a really good job of making her heroine and hero real and believable. With just the right amount of holiday magic she created a wonderful story that really brought home the wonder of the holidays. I would recommend this as a great holiday short read for those who are busy planning and baking. It takes you right into the wondrous world that we want Christmas to be. Full of magic, wishes and Santa Claus, nothing can go wrong when those are mixed with romance.
