What’s a snake shifter demon in love with a mortal woman to do when they can’t seem to do anything but argue anymore? Try desperate measures, that’s what.

Dale Thornson is desperate not to lose the woman he loves, but not willing to risk her life by giving her what she wants from him. He wants to try a small dose of an aphrodisiac first, see if plenty of sex will win her back.

Val Mays is in love with her demon man but is sure he will one day grow tired of her and move on. To prevent this, she wants him to brand her as his, even though it could possibly kill her. She is willing to risk it. Will she win her way? Or will her demon lover hold his own and continue refusing to make her permanently his?

The characters were well developed, the conflicts believable for their world, and the sex hot, hot, hot.

How many of us have fantasized about some hot man we’ve seen? Okay, maybe you are reluctant to admit it, but it happens. Lisette Hugo was on vacation in Nice, France and had the most gorgeous gardener working outside her rented cottage daily. He seemed to purposely try to get her attention more and more, so how could she resist watching him, fantasizing about him? And Paul, the gardener/owner of the cottage, did his own share of dreaming about the beautiful woman who watched him. Their mutual attraction was like a time-bomb waiting to explode…and, oh wow, it did.

Not only did the author create a wonderfully hot little story, but also she developed a plot line that had showed how the two characters needed each other’s help in different ways. My only disappointment was the brief introduction of a “villainess” who gave a threat that was never followed up on. She added a moment of complication, but could have been used in a stronger manner.

Still, the book, the second in her Naughty Ladies of Nice series, is an enjoyable read. You also might want to check out the first book, French Tart.

There are all kinds of loving relationships, with all kinds of problems. Adam and Paul have secretly loved one another for years. Life and expectations kept them apart for a long time, until finally they had to be honest with each other, had to fight for the love they needed to share. But could Paul’s occupation as a highly paid provider of pleasure for both men and women cost him the man he’d long desired to share his life?

I found the characters well drawn, their emotional depth clear, and the conflicts they faced believable in their situation. This was a wonderful story about the frustrations involved in sifting through and working beyond obstacles to reach what you really want.

Hunter and JC have been watching each other for years, but neither knew or showed what they felt. With JC’s huge, doting family and Hunter’s honorary place in it, Hunter has always been hesitant to take the step of having a relationship with JC. Then the timing is finally right. She’s old enough, he wants to settle down, both are single and the family is in a good position. Then all hell breaks loose. Is their love enough to get them past their own personal demons, let alone when an outsider tries to destroy everything Hunter has every worked for?

Hunting JC had me playing the cheerleader, trying to get the two to be together. The back and forth was killing me! In a good way, of course. They are engaging, flawed characters who belong together right from the start. JC’s family is made up of wonderful characters, especially her brothers. I’m sure before long they will each have their own stories and I look forward to reading them. Hunting JC is a four diamond kind of story. There are moments that are touching beyond belief, lines you’ll read over and over because they are that darn sweet, and humor to keep it all running until JC and Hunter finally make up their darn minds!
