Which I love to see because it’s refreshing and also lends an interesting view of how a man plays the knight in shining armor. Because Don definitely did play the knight, rescuing Helen from homelessness and offering her hope and a second chance. He was easy to like, tender and funny when the situation called for it. Helen was distant and a bit harder to relate to, most likely for the very reason Don was so easy to relate to…his feelings and thoughts were more accessible. Read The Date, it was a feel-good short story with a Cinderella happy ending.

He's also smart enough to understand she won't respect anything less from him than his own ability to control her as well, and his subsequent domination over her is extremely erotic. For me, they level the playing field nicely and their relationship is on equal footing, both professionally and sexually. The author did a great job of letting the reader know how each character felt and left no questions unanswered. Tied Up With Green made my heart pound and cheer for Trea and Jason. Rafe is strong and fearless - except when it comes to his feelings for Adam. Adam is strong and loyal, to both family, job and Rafe. Moving to DC doesn't dim that loyalty, it just becomes misplaced, only to rise to the forefront again when Rafe suffers a loss and needs the comfort only Adam can give. Watching the two men find each other again, renew their bond for each other while dealing with uncertainty of the future made this a fun, exciting read. I'm definitely looking forward to the next installment in the Blood Slaves series!

The sex between them was hot although she was a bit more adventurous her very first time or two between the sheets than I thought believable, especially for a sheltered Lady of that era. However, the overall story held my attention and made me cheer for their union and I’ll definitely read more by author H.C. Brown.

I absolutely adored the building, halting relationship between Kara and Derek. And I think the author hit the mark (at least with me) because I fell completely in love with Derek. He's the quintessential hero. And the way he wove his patient and loving way around the anal-retentive Kara was beautiful to watch. Seriously, this was one of the best books I've read in a very long time. Nice job, Alanna Coca. I can't wait to read more from you!

I loved this story from the opening paragraph. The intense love Savannah and Roman had for each other was beautiful. Their mutual desire to please each other led them to experiment in the Lifestyle but one very wrong turn tore them apart. The healing Savannah had to go through and the suffering Roman endured when he loses her is heartbreaking but realistic. Not to be trite but in this case, love conquers all and I thought the ending perfectly fitting for the story. I don't often read books more than once, but this one will stay on my "bookshelf".

If you like Jennifer Leeland's books, this is highly recommended.

Not sure where to begin with this review but even the blurb is poorly written. Staking Claim had great potential to be a quick, highly erotic read but quickly fizzled into a boring story completely told in narrative, passive writing. If the sex on a bathroom counter is so mind-blowing, internal thoughts are a must but rather, I felt like I was watching an insecure woman and detached husband go at it instead of feeling part of it. Best part of this story was the beautiful cover and that warranted part of the rating. I could go on but instead simply suggest readers find a different erotic quickie story to spend their money on.

Prepare yourself, this isn't your typical erotic romance. Written completely in the hero's point-of-view, you will get a glimpse into the male psyche unlike nearly any other hetero romance. Giulia didn't simply hurt Dante when they'd known each other as young adults, she'd devastated him and he's never fully recovered. When he thinks he's found her again (she looks and acts like Giulia but two decades have gone by so can it possibly be her?), he discovers she's aware of he and Giulia's past. She offers to listen to his side of the story and the ensuing explanation is rich, has complex depth to it I don't typically see in highly erotic stories and while Dante definitely comes across very sensitive and in touch with his feelings, he isn't a wuss. The reader will feel the strong spiritual bond he shared with Giulia and his reasons for keeping other women at arm's length and as the story progresses and concludes, the happily ever after ending will make you believe that some lovers are soul mates and truly meant to be together no matter how long it takes.
