When
The Enchanted Flute was an enjoyable short where there was actually some conflict – not something you usually find in this short of a story. However, in contrast, there was very little character development. Still, it was enjoyable for its length.

It’s a case of who do you trust and how much are you willing to accept as what is good for everyone. Chris and Cyril, two pilots of fighter drones, find each other due to a problem with a special suit Chris wears. Their encounter leads to intimacy and a hope for a future together. Except Cyril hasn’t been totally upfront with Chris.
I found the characters intriguing and the conflicts they face both externally and internally good, but a little confusing. Still, it was an enjoyable cyberpunk read.

This is a second chance at love story with suspense elements and a possible danger to baseline humans of the future. I’m a lover of second chance stories and enjoyed this one.

I enjoyed the well-developed characters and the conflicts that kept them apart and threaten their future. And the sex was great.

This is a story of lovers reunited in a seriously bad environment, with an interesting twist ending. Lt. Thomas Patch was assigned to guard a Leetchi Ambassador and his family on their visit to Earth and ended up finding the man of his heart, the Ambassador’s son. But their love was not to be. Jad was kidnapped. Now Patch’s only goal is to find his lover and rescue him. Not an easy task, and definitely not a pleasant one.
There was an interesting cast of characters who you can’t help but pull for. The villains were certainly detestable, and the sex good.

I really enjoyed this story about a bored young man supervising his family’s robots on their space station and his decision to teach a new cyborg about sex. Only his program adjustments proved far more effective than he’d imagined. All in all, a fun little story.

The Date has wonderful moments of compassion and kindness on the part of the hero, Don. Though both the hero and heroine’s point of views were represented, I felt the story was seen primarily through the eyes of the male. Which I love to see because it’s refreshing and also lends an interesting view of how a man plays the knight in shining armor. Because Don definitely did play the knight, rescuing Helen from homelessness and offering her hope and a second chance. He was easy to like, tender and funny when the situation called for it. Helen was distant and a bit harder to relate to, most likely for the very reason Don was so easy to relate to…his feelings and thoughts were more accessible. Read The Date, it was a feel-good short story with a Cinderella happy ending.

While they have intense chemistry and the intimate scenes are written with passion and the fireworks such a relationship generates, their emotions are not neglected. I love a good swashbuckler, and this certainly qualifies. I also love a writer who can make me share the feelings of her characters as the story unfolds.
Tales of pirates and their tall-sailed ships are always romance classics, for good reason. Keta Diablo lets us hear the creaking of the sails as her characters deal with their past and their uncertain futures.

Four very different couples, the only thing they have in common their enjoyment of a spanking when the moment is right. By the time I’d finished the four stories, I had changed my opinion on spanking stories. So many of them follow seem to be formulaic and their characters very 2-D, but that was not the case in any of these tales. All the main characters were loving people who valued their partners and that made the difference for me. I actually have not read Spank Me Once, but I plan to pick it up. And while I have read a couple of these authors before, I really enjoyed seeing this side of them in these amusing, sexy tales.

I very much enjoyed this story about two men struggling with who they were and how much they wanted to be together. When their love was nearly torn apart, I ached for them both. The characters were wonderfully written, the plot line well developed, and the emotional roller coaster everything it should be to keep the reader turning the pages.
