Please say hi to Jacque Toussant from Soul Catcher

1. Hi, please tell us a little bit about yourself.
First and foremost, thank you ladies for having me at Got Romance Reviews. You romance chicks are like us Southerners, real friendly. I’m Jacque Toussant. I’m what you call a Mutura demon or shifter demon. I command the legions of Hades, at least until Angel came along. Making sure that girl stays out of trouble is a full time job, but that’s what I get falling for a girl who made a deal with my uncle Lucifer. I knew she was trouble from the first moment I laid eyes on her, but couldn’t resist. Lol.

2. Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Hades or Hell, whichever is more comfortable to you. My father is one of the Seven Princes of Hell and my mother is the Egyptian goddess Isis. My uncle Lucifer is… Well, you know who he is. Try growing up in that family, talk about your inadequacy complex. Geesh.

Now, me and Ang hang out in New Orleans with our fam and friends.

3. Do you find that people expect you to be bad all the time, being a demon?
Yeah. That can be a problem at times. People always think we’re the “Big Bad.” I could see how they can make that mistake when you see all this. *flexes muscles* Hahaha! But seriously, we like anyone else. They’re good demons and bad demons. The only thing that makes us different is where we’re from and where some of us live. Hell, if I didn’t tell you I was a demon and you didn’t see my eyes flash red, you’d think I was any other hot guy you met on the street. *flexes muscles again* You like that… I see you smiling over there.

Shit… I think Ang is getting a little touchy about the showboating, so I’ll cut it out. *wink*

4. We understand you’re a soul catcher, what is that exactly?
Actually, I’m not the Soul Catcher. That’ll be my lady, Angel. She’s kickass, but I taught her everything she knows. I would consider myself more of her bodyguard, trainer, protector, maybe. All I know is that I’ll do whatever it takes to keep her safe and with me. And let me tell you, that’s hard work.

5. How did you meet your author?
You know, Vivi’s cool. Even though she was gonna cut me after Angel’s training, she’s still good people. Originally, she thought Angel would go through training with me and then go topside (Earth) and hitch up with some ridiculous vamp. But I wooed Vivi and Angel with my charms and neither could let me go. And as they say, that’s all she wrote. Ang and I started on our roller coaster ride to fight my uncle Luc.

6. Do you find her easy to work with?
*Breathes deeply* We have a love hate relationship sometimes. It was a difficult road sometimes. Like I mentioned earlier, I wasn’t suppose to stick around as long as I did. So, she had some spots where I caused some problems because my character was unfolding as she wrote the story. That’s what she get for being one of those Pantsers. Hahaha!
