A good read for the first book in the Caveat Emptor series.
Ryver is a human who purchased a vampire in a time when they were controlled by magic charms. She wanted him for home security and a companion of sorts. They get along beautifully and he comes to mean more than simply a servant to her.
Theron is a vampire caught and forced into servitude. When his magical charm wears off and he, along with other vampire servants, is recalled by the mages, he finally reveals his true feelings for Ryver. Now they both must make a decision that will affect their future.
I look forward to reading the second book.
