Gwen Walberg, literature teacher and self-professed geek, is thrilled to acquire a priceless antique book but soon learns why it came so cheap.

The book contains the ghost of Violetta, its former owner, who spices up her boring afterlife by playing matchmaker. Gwen is her new target—and if she won't cooperate, Violetta is prepared to throw a storm of dangerous tantrums. Rather than give up the treasured book, Gwen reluctantly surrenders, and learns Violetta has already chosen the
man for her: Gwen's gorgeous gardener and friend, Paul Chang.

Paul is stunned that a ghost wants to cast him as a romance hero but intrigued enough to cooperate. Step by awkward step, Paul and Gwen allow their weird voyeur to force them into compromising positions. But what if the unlikely couple starts enjoying their bizarre, steamy situation?

Can they ever cultivate a healthy relationship with an unstable ghost
tagging along?

Of Ghosts and Geeks is a giggling good time. Violetta is the most annoyingly funny apparition I have come across in a long time. She is so undeniably selfish yet her antics provide so many laughs for the reader. Gwen and Paul are a fabulous couple and they should be grateful for the interfering specter who is helping them along with her matchmaking demands. I love that Gwen sees herself as a geek and is fine with it, almost proud of her nerdiness. I love how she takes Violetta’s presence in her life all in stride and is more concerned with her treasured acquisition. Paul is even more blasé about the voyeuristic ghost and her quixotic demands. He has the right mixture of geek and hottie to measure up for Gwen and I have to agree with her conclusion. I loved Gwen’s uncle even though I learned more about him than she would have liked. I am looking forward to reading more from this author this story left me with a big grin on my face and the occasional recurring chuckle.

It's not that Binda Morningstar's an idiot—the girl's got more degrees than a thermometer—but there's something about a crisis that makes her lose her mind…and accidentally injure anyone within a ten-foot radius. But if she's going to rescue her boss from a cursed jewel, she's going to have to keep it together.

Unfortunately for her, the cop on the case, Corin Hawthorne, has her losing her mind and her heart…and if he gets any more drool-worthy, she's going to lose her inhibitions, too. To save her boss and win her man, she's got to out run a mobster, outwit the YIFFS at a sex-fetish convention, and out think an ex-wife—and she's got to do it all without breaking an arm or inadvertently hitting anyone with pepper spray…it's all got Binda hoping that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

What Happens in Vegas is an amusing story that kept me giggling throughout the action. There is just something about Binda that stole my heart! It might have been that as a fellow klutz I felt and undeniable bond with her, or was the connection due to her sophisticated dealings with the hottie Corin? Whatever it was she is one of my all-time favorite heroines. Every character in this story, including the many in fury costumes and latex entertained me to no end. I loved the mystery and I adored the romance, but more than that I just wanted to see what was going to happen next. I’d love to see this endearing character get another adventure. I cannot wait to check out this author’s other stories in hopes the other characters are half as delightful as Binda.

Cat-sitting her great-aunt’s finicky feline offers Nora Bainbridge a rare opportunity to delve into the secrets of the reclusive actress’s younger years. And when a sexy television producer shows up, proposing an episode of Hollywood’s Hottest History based on Aunt Elnora’s off-screen involvement with the mob in Tinseltown, the past starts looking a lot more interesting.

Raised on a steady diet of 1940s films by his mob boss grandfather, the only upside FBI agent Luke McKinnon can see in his current undercover  assignment is he’ll get to meet one of the film stars he reveres.  The downside is he’s looking for something he doesn’t want to find evidence that Elnora Bainbridge is involved in trafficking stolen art. A totally unexpected perk is discovering Elnora has a look-alike namesake whose curiosity about her aunt’s wild life drags them into a lot of Family Business.

Family Business is a quirky mystery that is much like the Hollywood movies our heroine’s aunt starred in. This story had a little bit of everything; humor and action, mobsters and a pampered pet, a hottie FBI agent and an innocent damsel dragged into the entire mess. I absolutely love Elnora and so wish I had a great aunt like her in my family tree. Nora is such an easy to relate to heroine with her attraction to the bad boys and I appreciated her slightly self-deprecating attitude. Luke is just plain yummy! His slight flaws and insecurities made him all the more attractive. While the mystery itself isn’t too taxing it is the perfect cozy and the villains are expected without being too predictable. The plot and characters are so lively and thoroughly engaging I found myself chuckling out loud on more than one occasion and I’m positive I’ll re-read this one.

A WORKING GIRL JUST HAS TO BLOW HER LID...
Using her quick wit and take-charge attitude, Miranda Stiltgaard lands a marketing job for Stuart Golf Enterprises in Chicago determined to prove a well-educated girl raised in a small Alaskan town can succeed in a big city.

WHEN ACCUSED OF A CRIME SHE DIDN'T DO...
Embezzlement of company funds sends aloof London bachelor, Keegan Stuart, roaring into Chicago to ferret out a thief and protect the family business.

THEN RISKS HEARTBREAK TO BOOT...
Miranda hates that this unreadable Brit sees her as a backwoods frontierswoman dragging bear home for dinner. Or that she's capable of a crime. But if it's a fight he wants, she'll show him how it's done.

Never does Keegan expect a woman of fortitude to rock his resolve and steal his heart...a heart he doesn't intend to lose.
Miranda is an easy to relate to, endearing heroine and in Teed Up For Love it is so entertaining to see how she handles the unexpected trials she encounters. And the biggest ordeal she faces is her attraction to Keegan who practically embodies the heroes in her romance novels. He’s a charismatic bad boy who charms his way into the reader’s heart as well as the lead character’s. This is a witty story full of fun but it also addresses plenty of serious issues in a delightful way that brings out emotions but isn’t too heavy. The supporting cast of characters is as well developed as the lead couple and enhance the story. If you are looking for the perfect summer read full of personality and humor this is definitely the one to pick up and enjoy lounging in the sun.

Damon has a problem. His uncle Satan wants to throw a celebration for giving gifts, completely unrelated to anything from the big guy upstairs, for the baby demons in Hell. Damon heads to the surface and nabs the first woman he finds. She just happens to be adorable and setting up a Christmas display, so he’s sure she’ll be fine for the job. Holly knows she’s up for the job of giving Hell a holiday and she might even get it done if she survives the heat and the plethora of demons who are always offering to kill her. Between keeping cool and finding flame retardant toys for the babes, Holly also feels the need to heat things up between her and dishy Damon.

What an adorable story! Holly is sassy and fun. Damon is an inviting mix of sexy, sweet and tough. The supporting characters made me laugh and through it all I was hoping the baby demons had a great holiday and that Holly and Damon would get each other. Holly Day is definitely a great short story to get any reader in the mood for the Christmas season with a laugh.

Sometimes what we dream of isn’t what we really want, especially when it comes to true love.
Jessica and Thalia, twins, are happy just being royal princesses of the Fae kingdom. But their parents suddenly resign. Now the sisters make a pact that the first one to find true love will be exempt from having to take over as Queen, since neither one wants the role. Jessica is determined not to be forced to deal with all the daily drudgery of ruling a kingdom. What she wants are the finer things in life, and to get them she decides she must marry a Peer of the Realm.

Trevor Warren, referred to teasingly by his football mates as His Lordship, has dreams of being the premier footballer in the U.K. someday. He plays hard on and off the field. Then his life changes when he meets a sassy, sexy woman who has no idea who he is in the sports world. He’s definitely not a Peer of the Realm, but…

This was a short, fun and sexy story about two unlikely lovers. So opposite, and yet not.

Vampires vs. rabbit shifters and a genetically enhanced bad-ass cop…I loved it!

Officer Drake is Supercop with no intention of settling down with any one woman. But Hunny Lapin enters this bad boy’s life and all hell breaks loose.

Hunny Lapin is a bunny shifter and has gotten herself in big time trouble. She needs Drake’s help, although she really wants Supercop for more than just his cop abilities.

This is one of the best short stories I’ve read in a while. I love a tough guy with attitude and Drake definitely has that. I love a tough guy with a soft heart, he has that as well. And Hunny…a rabbit shifter…what great fun! Add in some bad guys—vampires—out to get her and cause trouble in the city, plus her 300 some rabbit shifting relatives, and you have a nice twist on the good guys vs. bad guys plot line. And did I mention that it’s sexy, too?

Micah Slate has lived centuries, his lonely existence dedicated to the protection of art. Then he meets Ophilia Morgan, a young artist who has transformed herself into a living work of art. Micah thinks she'll never give him a second glance, but she has dark secrets of her own. When a greedy socialite uses Micah's museum as the setting for fraud and destruction, he and Ophilia will be thrown together in a night of mayhem.

I had to include the actual blurb for Mr. Robert Roman’s Fae Eye for the Golem Guy because it is so much a reflection of how this story runs. The cover and title are intriguing. The blurb interesting but deceptive in its serious tone. The main character is made of stone, and the heroine is a tattooed fairy, sweet and tough enough, to turn rock to rubble. Almost every page had something to pull me in and make we wonder what would happen next. I honestly loved this story. I laughed out loud so many times that friends thought I was loosing it. The little gay pixies alone are worth picking this one up.

A slightly slow start and occasionally weighty description kept this from being a perfect score for me, but if you like intelligent or sometimes ridiculous humor mixed with a bit of intrigue and a taste of romance you will adore Mr. Roman’s Fae Eye for the Golem Guy.

Armed to ask Bridgette out on a date, nothing could prepare Geoff for the shock he found behind her door.”

Who knew that trying to ask someone out on a date could be so complicated… Without giving anything away in this short and sweet story… the only things I can say are I found this a highly amusing and entertaining read. It was quick, heartfelt and humorous. The only disappointment is the fact I didn’t get to read more about this blossoming couple.

Jessica has dreams she’s put on hold for thirty years. On her big three-oh, she decides to make a move forward. Bumping into a handsome man in the languages section leads to more change than she could have hoped for. Kevin is a firefighter and a quiet one at that. He isn’t very outgoing, doesn’t like to draw attention to himself and for the most part keeps to himself. Something about Jessica’s enthusiasm and desperation in her desire to be a paramedic reach past his usual hesitance and make him offer to help her train for her exams. Along the way, both are attracted, and also try to convince themselves that they aren’t right for each other. Can they stop trying to not be a couple and see what happens when they let things heat up?

Spark of Desire made me happy. Jessica and Kevin had me hooked with their very down-to-earth personalities. Jessica’s self-conscious issues speak to all women in one way or another, but her determination and strength shout a strong character that is multi-faceted and interesting. Some themes were repeated over and over, but that’s common for a story that doesn’t rely on suspense or intrigue. The plot moved very well with sweet and thoughtful moments. The secondary characters were charming and since this is a series, I can’t wait to read more about the other firefighters in the department. Spark of Desire is a four and a half diamond kind of read for those looking for romance for the sake of romance. It was smooth and sweet and left me smiling.

In Cup of Joe, Teri Wilson has crafted a masterpiece. My only regret is not having a higher score than a 5 to deliver to this absolutely winning release. Ms. Wilson has an effortless, charming writing style that engaged me firmly to her characters and their blooming romance. Cup of Joe is a heart-tugging story, and Ms. Wilson fleshes out her character’s emotions beautifully – yet maintains a perfect use of humor as well. In fact, several parts of this novel left me laughing out loud. Goldie is the heroine, overwhelmed and mourning following the death of her grandfather. Joe, her grandfather’s dear friend, is sworn to watch after Goldie. The third character is four-legged, and steals the show – Joe’s ‘recovery gift’ of a sort to Goldie – a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel aptly named Bliss. Goldie’s innocent purity and Joe’s nobility combine for a story that will not leave you wanting in any way. Serve me up a Goldie Latte Macchiato, Ms. Wilson. Let’s meet at Joe’s. Maybe we’ll even have time enough for a Whippaccino Bliss!
