From the very beginning we are wondering if Corporal Marx Wellbourne, will be saved by Dr. Grayson Drake. Marx Wellbourne confederate soldier, a mere corporal. Why does the sadistic Major Britton Darkmore, want this corporal kept alive? And why beyond the call of duty, does Dr. Drake take such an interest in the young man.

Keta Diablo takes us back to the civil war. And a pursuit that takes us from New York to Virginia. This spy thriller has it all the escape, the chase, and two men who fall in love. But aren’t sure what side the other is working for.

A very well written book. One becomes interested (hooked on) in the characters, from the very beginning. She describes the scene, so that you feel you are there. I didn’t want to put it down. Hope she keeps the story going with a sequel.

Once again Keta Diablo grabbed me with her first sentence and took me right into her characters’ world. Her backgrounds are lush, her characters complete people who I am immediately interested in, and her sexual scenes are wild and captivating. I recommend this book, as I do all of Ms. Diablo’s books.

Keta Diablo’s characters have a depth not often found in such a short m/m story. While they have intense chemistry and the intimate scenes are written with passion and the fireworks such a relationship generates, their emotions are not neglected. I love a good swashbuckler, and this certainly qualifies. I also love a writer who can make me share the feelings of her characters as the story unfolds.

Tales of pirates and their tall-sailed ships are always romance classics, for good reason. Keta Diablo lets us hear the creaking of the sails as her characters deal with their past and their uncertain futures.

This story packs a lot of punch in a short period of time and I felt every blow! I loved Hugh, a conflicted, intelligent and very sexual man. Add yummy Milan, his paralegal, who thinks Hugh is his dream come true, and every fantasy they’ve had for each other for several long months working together come graphically to life. My only disappointment, as cliché as it might be, is I wished this story was longer. I would have loved to see even more relationship develop between Hugh and Milan, especially with regards to their pasts. Having said that however, I’ve been fortunate enough to read several fantastic M/M stories lately and this ranks right at the top with the best of them. I highly recommend Hot & Sticky, it won’t disappoint any reader who enjoys this genre!

Four very different couples, the only thing they have in common their enjoyment of a spanking when the moment is right. In Ticket to a Spanking by Jude Mason, Ken finds out he shouldn’t have tried to hide his speeding ticket from wife Julia,but if he had how would she have been able to illustrate to her friend Christ just the right way to spank a hubby who’s stepped out of line. Amber Skyze’s Rein Me In’s Delia is a shopaholic whose habit needs to be reined in. Tara S. Nichols’ Road Trip is an adventure with a bit of an exhibitionistic theme and, last but certainly not least, Lip Service by anthology editor Keta Diablo is an endearing tale of trust and lust between its two committed male partners.

By the time I’d finished the four stories, I had changed my opinion on spanking stories. So many of them follow seem to be formulaic and their characters very 2-D, but that was not the case in any of these tales. All the main characters were loving people who valued their partners and that made the difference for me. I actually have not read Spank Me Once, but I plan to pick it up. And while I have read a couple of these authors before, I really enjoyed seeing this side of them in these amusing, sexy tales.
