In Cup of Joe, Teri Wilson has crafted a masterpiece. My only regret is not having a higher score than a 5 to deliver to this absolutely winning release. Ms. Wilson has an effortless, charming writing style that engaged me firmly to her characters and their blooming romance. Cup of Joe is a heart-tugging story, and Ms. Wilson fleshes out her character’s emotions beautifully – yet maintains a perfect use of humor as well. In fact, several parts of this novel left me laughing out loud. Goldie is the heroine, overwhelmed and mourning following the death of her grandfather. Joe, her grandfather’s dear friend, is sworn to watch after Goldie. The third character is four-legged, and steals the show – Joe’s ‘recovery gift’ of a sort to Goldie – a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel aptly named Bliss. Goldie’s innocent purity and Joe’s nobility combine for a story that will not leave you wanting in any way. Serve me up a Goldie Latte Macchiato, Ms. Wilson. Let’s meet at Joe’s. Maybe we’ll even have time enough for a Whippaccino Bliss!

When Harrison Beckman meets his father’s secretary, Daniella Duncan, she’s shy and self-conscious. Harrison, however, is determined to get to know her better. Before he gets to do that a rival comes along to steal Dani’s heart as quickly and thoroughly as the company’s contracts, which have been disappearing.

As the mystery unfolds, Harrison has to fight for the woman he loves, even though this means crossing swords with his father and his determined adversary. Will Harrison be able to find the love that could await them or will it be too late?

REVIEW

Daniella is an evolutionary tale of hope for every person who has ever doubted themselves. Ms. Carter’s story features a heroine we can all get behind - Daniella. Lovely inside and out, despite being overweight, she tends to lend much credence to what she sees as her physical flaws but learns, through love and embracing her faith anew, that God, and the man of her dreams, loves her – as is – and without condition.

Ms. Carter fills Daniella with intrigue and back-room corporate maneuvers that lend spice and suspense to each page, while never detracting from the growing romance between Harrison and Daniella.

Harrison seems, to Daniella, unattainable on a number of levels which makes her susceptible to a secondary suitor who’s not all he appears to be. After all, Harrison is the bosses son, he’s handsome and successful, and fully attuned to a God Daniella seeks – but not with a fullness of heart and belief. Further, she doubts he’d ever be able to see past her size to the heart beneath.

The time they spend together solving the mystery of disappearing bids and documents from the company where they work brings them together and helps their relationship to bloom.

I strongly recommend this heart felt and heart warming romance from the skilled pen of JoAnn Carter.

Today is one of those days Logan Reilly wished he’d stayed in bed. Not only does he have to deal with the annoying Winter Wonderland Carnival but his close friend, that whimsical lover of snow, Holly Armstrong, is leaving town forever. The question is why didn’t she tell him and why today, of all days, does he realize she might be more than a friend?

Holly can no longer stay in town knowing the man she loves only sees her as a friend. It’s time to move on; besides she has other career prospects.

As the carnival unfolds, watch God work in amazing ways. Can He change Holly’s mind and make her stay? Can He help Logan see beyond the friendship? Only time can tell.

Look beyond the absolutely exquisite cover for Snow Kissed and dive inside. Ms. Green’s evocative, skilled writing leaves you to all but taste the snow and touch the theme of Christmas which weaves through this story. A rough hewn hero goes soft and infinitely appealing toward Holly, the sweetheart of a heroine who seems to be on the threshold of a life-change. Can the friendship they share progress to something more? Logan fights it, Holly is ready to leave town because of it. Still, everyone in the picturesque town of Meridan, VA seems to think these two are heaven-made for one another. In fact, the secondary characters - friends, and even a pair of precocious Sunday school students - put vivid color to this story. Gentle humor, intensity of feeling and a tangible, fully relatable sense of emotion fill this story with magic. Do yourself a favor in these chilly winter days. Settle in and enjoy being Snow Kissed!
