This was a time traveling adventure with lots of danger and plenty of heat. The characters were fairly well drawn for such a short story. It felt like this was part of a series, but I couldn’t determine that. Either way, the story was a great read.

Naïve that I may be, I hadn’t heard of synesthesia and found the details about this really interesting. In some ways, as a writer myself, I “see” with my senses as well when I create a story.

Devil’s Eyes was very short, but well done. Enough was learned about the main character, Graham, to want to understand him and what he was facing: both the problem with his work on a particular piece of music and with his attraction to the younger man, Noah.

And it was nice and spicy, erotic enough to put you there in the story with these two men.

While I had trouble with Lydia so easily accepting being taken to this magical realm, I still enjoyed the story. Kaelen and Jay were two very hot men, and wonderfully different. Their conflict was fairly believable and the way Lydia helped resolve it was nicely done.

All in all, this was an enjoyable, hot read.

The story started off with an intriguing erotic scene and kept building on the heat. Setting details were handled well, taking the reader to long ago London. Characters were complex and there was a lot of external and internal conflict for such a short story. All in all, this was very well written.

The story was a bit roughly written, but that didn’t keep me from getting emotionally tangled up with the characters. Jessie and David both touched my heart. The author clearly understands how traumatic the teen years and first loves can be. My biggest compliment is that she made me cry.

I love this author’s style, her way with characters and plot line.  It is such fun to read a write playing around with loosely familiar things or people, here such as The Devil. Having Lucifer come off as another father who loves his daughter even though she frustrates him is great stuff. And Muriel…I loved her attitude about her life, her father, and the man she falls in love with. As for Auric and his “secret identity,” it was perfect.

This is definitely a story you don’t want to miss reading.
