Carolina (Callie) Michaels is tired of being a good girl. She has deep, erotic fantasies she’s just dying to live, but none of the men she dates seem to want to share them. She decides to give herself the birthday present of a night to remember, but when her intended date decides she’s too adventurous for him, Callie’s attention turns to dark, sexy Sam Winthrop, her next door neighbor who’s had his own erotic dreams—about her. She invites him to celebrate her birthday with her, and when he gets to her place and discovers what kind of celebration she has in mind, Sam’s convinced that tonight his fantasies as well as Callie’s will come true.”

Fantasies definitely come true for Ms Holts characters in “Give it to Me”. From start to finish the story is full of sexual tension and heat. You watch as every fantasy Callie has ever dreamed comes true under Sam’s masterful hand. The reader is pulled in right from the start. You, the reader, know exactly what are getting into; Ms Holt has a gift that allows this knowledge to heighten the excitement. In knowing what is still in that bright pink bag that Sam hasn’t pulled out yet, the reader can anticipate what’s might happen next but much like Callie isn’t completely certain. Early signs of submission and mastery are evident but aren’t over played, keeping both the story and characters realistic.

This story receives five flames on most sites for good reason it is hot, it is spicy and it is not for readers new to the genre as, in the book, you have to work up to this finale. Ms Holt’s book packs quite a wonderful erotic punch into a short amount of time. She gives us a glimpse into what might happen with these two characters and leaves us feeling both satisfied and wondering what’s to come. A definite must read for anyone who wants a quick highly sexually charged story.

Beaten and wounded by a band of sadistic renegades that rules the borderlands of Indian Territory, U.S. Marshal Kaed Turner understands what the inevitable outcome will be for him: death. But Fate and a war party of Choctaw Indians intervene, delivering him instead to a beautiful angel with the skill to heal him. Jessica Monroe has already lost a husband and a brother to the outlaws who tortured Marshal Turner. As the rugged lawman lies bleeding on her bed, she faces a difficult decision. Can she afford to gamble with her heart one last time? For when Kaed recovers, he is sworn to join the other Territorial Peace Officers in their battle to wipe out the renegade gang once and for all. When vengeance is done, will Kaed keep riding? Or will he return to claim his future with the beautiful woman the Choctaw call "Fire Eyes?"

This is the story you want to curl up by a fire with on a rainy day (or snowy day as it is here.) The world building was wonderful, I had the whole story playing vividly in my mind. The hero and heroine's chemistry was believable, and I enjoyed 'watching' their love story unfold. There were many suspenseful areas that had me glued to the story to see what would happen next. Some of the women characters in the story had been raped in their past, a warning to those who may be sensitive to that subject. It wasn't something that played out in the story, though, it simply hinted of the rough lives mid-19th century Americans faced at times. It's a definite must read for any historical romance fan!

A sensual and exciting read that keeps you on your toes from the start. Shy and inhibited Ava takes a job in the last place her abusive ex boyfriend would come looking for her. Working in a strip club called Hothouse Gentlemen’s Club is the perfect hiding place. That is until Kade shows up. Little does Ava know that he is a private eye that her ex Zack has hired to find her. The chemistry between Kade and Ava is electric from the start. Each one has their own secrets but can they let their guard down enough to trust one another before it is too late? Add in a jealous dancer, the club owner’s brother and another PI or two and the mayhem begins.
Lia Slater takes the reader on a suspenseful ride with many twists and turns that keeps the reader guessing. Ava learns quickly and goes from being an easy going and trusting woman to a savvy one that must do anything to keep herself hidden. Kade is a powerful man who takes what he wants with no looking back. Which was always fine until he meets Ava and looses his heart. It seems this bad boy has a heart and may become a good guy after all.
As the two begin a rocky relationship they find themselves on the run from Zack, Ava’s ex. Will Kade talk Ava into making a stand and stop her running or will she take her chances and go on the run again? With well-written characters and a fast paced plot I enjoyed this book. I cannot wait to see if Jax and Poppy will get their own story. If you enjoy a hot and suspenseful read this is the book should not be missed.

Determined not to spend another birthday marking time, Elena has thrust herself forward, trying to be better, write better and treat herself better. Enter Joe who suddenly finds himself infatuated with the big beautiful woman across the bar. Their passion becomes a one night stand when Elena’s self-doubts resurface but a bank robbery brings the journalist and FBI agent together again. Can they get beyond the hurt feelings and insecurities to finish their amazing night? And who is the person giving Elena goose bumps at every turn?

Joe’s Birthday girl had many elements that I enjoyed very much. I loved that Elena was a woman and a big, beautiful, accomplished one at that. I liked that Ms. Shaw gave Elena dimension with her size and didn’t just mention once or twice that she was kind of chubby. There was loads of sex in the story; a good two-thirds of it was against the wall, in bed, in the shower, etc. The downside to that is some of it felt repeated even when the situation and position changed. I give Joe’s Birthday Girl four diamonds. It was a great story. I enjoyed it and I would recommend it to anyone who likes a lot of sex with their love story.

A rebellious librarian encounters the ghost of an ancient Scottish king...

Rare book specialist, Julie Macbeth is sent to work on the Drummonds' private library in Edinburgh as a punishment. But in fact, she is delighted with the job and fascinated by Lulach, the charming eccentric who appears to live there. When Lulach claims to be the ghost of a thousand year old king, she's sure that he’s insane. But as she begins to fall in love, it breaks her heart to know that she should do everything in her power to lay his spirit to rest at last.

This was a wonderful story. Julie was a believable heroine and Lulach an intriguing beta hero. I wasn't sure how a love story could work between a ghost and a mortal woman and I felt myself drawn in to find out. At times I found my heart strings tugged by the Lulach's circumstances and I identified with Julie's own reactions. The author writes with intelligence and the dialogue was very natural. I found that I now believe love can happen with a ghostly spirit. I highly recommend this read. I wish the ending had been a bit different (though it was a happily ever after) I'm not sure how it could have been and still have been as believable.
