The life of an English professor would normally be considered fairly boring. Not so for Jane Renard. She has a secret life as a popular erotica writer that she guards carefully in fear of losing her day job. She has an ex-husband, who isn’t really an “ex,” and who is murdered not quite in front of her but close enough to make her a suspect. And then there is Marcus Sloan, the security consultant she hires. He can do that job, but he’s far more interested in helping the writer of hot sex actually learn the realities of hot sex.

I enjoyed the complicated story of a slightly older heroine and the many trials she faced. Her life wasn’t easy, but she dealt with it all and managed to find what she’d always wanted. The characters were well developed. The action was constant. And the romantic element had me cheering for one and all.

I am a huge fan of historical romances and April Dawn did not disappoint me! The characters were vivid as were the scenes. Once I started reading I couldn’t put it down. I thought about it at night while I slept. At first I wasn’t sure which guy I liked best, but I ended up with a favorite of course—Joshua. All I can say about the twist at the end is WOW! I don’t want to give away too much of the book because seriously this one needs to be read by anyone who is into Historical romance or even if their not it’s still worth it.

This was the first book I read of April Dawn’s and it won’t be the last. She memorized me with her wonderful story weaving. It’s books like this that make me so thankful to be a reviewer!

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It was a sweet story about the love building between two men, Devon and Greg. Devon moved after his mother died and a split from his boyfriend. He needed a new life and that’s just what he found. Greg walked into his veterinary office and his heart.

This story has everything action, love, lust, and most of all a captivating plot. I was more than pleasantly surprised with the ending and the amazing gift Devon gives to Greg. Mr. Dale writes beautiful and made me wish for more. My only issue with the book was it seemed to move too fast. This book could have been much longer. All in all a great book I was glad to have read!

The Henna Housewife Killer continues to evade the police for the murders of red-haired housewives. Dr. Molly Jordon treats Detective Danny Sullivan when he's rushed into her ER with a critical bullet wound. Molly has never experienced a pure carnal reaction to a patient before, but Danny sparks such heat in her that nights he comes to her in fervidly steamy dreams. A cop's widow and single parent, Molly is fiercely averse to the life of worry that loving a police officer entails. And Danny isn't any cop. He's the son of a retired police commissioner and one of six siblings who are all law enforcers. After a bitter divorce Danny is convinced that a cop's job and married life doesn't mix--until he meets the bossy, irresistible Molly Jordan who throws medical orders at him that he has no intentions of following.

This story has it all—a strong intelligent heroine, a hunky alpha male, sensual love scenes, and glimpses into the mind of a serial killer. I enjoyed watching the relationship between the hero and heroine unfold and the suspense was icing on the cake. Molly and Danny seem to be at odds with each other, which makes their growing attraction all the more appealing. Watching them break through their walls and insecurities made them seem all the more real to me.

If you like your romance with a suspenseful edge you should enjoy this read.
