Rie Warren gives readers a bad boy bachelor and a tattooed vixen in this hot new release from her steamy southern series.

New York Times bestselling paranormal author, Nicky—Nick—Love is anything but successful in love. For years he’s lost himself in his writing career, but now he’s ready to get back to his rebel-boy roots. While restoring a motorcycle at Stone’s Auto Service, he meets the Wildcat of his dreams. She’s a shock to the system for the romance writer who doesn’t remember a damn thing about wooing a woman.

Cool-as-ice, Catarina “Wildcat” Steele is utterly untouchable until Nicky ignites a spark she can’t control. Their electric attraction explodes as Nicky pursues her, but he comes bearing the baggage of a family tragedy he’s hidden from everyone. He knows love has no guarantees.

Their passionate romance falls apart when Nicky discovers Cat’s secret rivals his own. The truth about her past reopens Nicky’s raw wounds and awakens a ghost he never laid to rest. He doesn’t know how to have Cat, and now he can’t trust her. Will they be torn apart . . . or tamed by love?

Rie Warren has outdone herself with this one. I only gave this book 5 stars because I wasn’t able to give more! I’m not quite sure how many would be enough to accurately portray how much I enjoyed this book. I found myself slowing down my normal reading speed hoping to make it last longer and the minute I finished it, I immediately started reading it again.

I loved “Stone, At Your Service” and Josh Stone quickly became one of my top 5 favorite leading men. Then I met Nick Loveland, AKA Nicky Love, and all others paled in comparison. Nick is charming, sexy, loyal and slightly damaged. He meets Catarina Steele, “Wildcat”, and immediately sparks fly between them. Their first meeting ends when she slaps him across the face and walks away. Game on!

Despite their rocky start, they quickly develop a complicated relationship where the sex is always off the charts HOT! They are both hiding skeletons from their pasts and trying their best to focus only on what is developing between them. Nick is keeping family secrets he has never shared with anyone, including his best friend Josh, until he breaks down and opens himself up to Cat. Later, when he finds out about Cat’s secret, it throws him for a loop and his trust in her is broken. He doesn’t know if he can get past what he considers to be her betrayal.

Whether or not you have read the first book in the series, you will still enjoy this book. It works fine as a stand-alone story once you get a grasp of all the characters. However I do recommend reading both books, only because they are both incredible and you will not regret it. I must admit I enjoyed this book more than the first and was shocked to find that was the case. Nick is not your typical alpha male bad boy. He’s a paranormal romance writer, which on the surface is very misleading. He loves his grandmother, his best friend Josh, Josh’s son J.J., wife Leelee, and Josh’s mom. He can do the whole soft and tender bit when he needs to. However, make no mistake, there is much more to him. He is every bit the in your face, bad ass, motorcycle riding, tough guy we want from our alphas. Rie Warren nailed it! The novella “Ride” is coming in January and book 3 in this series will be Brodie Steele’s story, coming in April. We got to know a bit about Brodie in this book and I am eagerly anticipating the April pre-order. Rie Warren seems to get better every time!
