I’m a sucker for second chance at love stories, always hoping the people involved can make it work this time around. It looks promising for this couple, so I was delighted.
Laney Peters and Keith Jansen had parted ways two years ago after she’d made an offer to help him financially and ended up wounding his pride, and then hers when he refused her help. But forgetting how much you love someone is hard to do. These two not only loved each other, but also were seriously attracted to one another, deeply passionate.
For such a short story, the author managed to give the reader two characters to pull for in making up and in finding a happy ending.
