Widowed at a young age, Kendra knows she’s not moving on the way her husband wanted her to. She’s just not ready. Dating is even less appealing when a blind date turns into being stalked by the city’s mayor. Lieutenant Jinx Jenkins is a nice guy and takes his job as a police officer seriously so when he sees a young woman waiting at the end of his shift, he tries to help. Unfortunately her trusting eyes remind him of his dead wife and he has to walk away. The drama continues when Kendra’s stalker continues to harass her. Jinx can’t stop himself from getting involved, and the more Kendra is near him, the more she knows he’s someone special.
This one is a ‘sigher’. If you are in need of something sweetly romantic, Sharon Horton is ready to deliver with Jinxed. The suspense part wasn’t what held my attention; it was all Kendra and Jinx with their back stories and gentle humor. I loved their histories and how it all led to them being together. Anyone looking for a sweet, romantic tale with a bit of suspense will find a wonderful classic in Jinxed.
