You never know who, or what, you might fall in love with. I, like Gracie Usher, developed a serious thing for the hot, supremely naughty demon in this book.

Detective Gracie Usher is desperate to locate a missing girl and ends up in that proverbial wrong place at the wrong time. Or did she? Her sexual tastes are extreme and when she encounters a demon that she is certain is only in her dream, Sam satisfies those tastes. I loved her thought about how she “was amazed that someone so ugly could be so incredibly handsome at the same time.”

Sam, a demon condemned to spend eternity in Wayland, New York, has tired of “fucking frigid demon women and enduring the most poorly executed fake orgasms ever attempted.” He wants a real woman. One with the intense passions he feels. He is more than pleasantly surprised at his encounter with Gracie. If only they could be together…

I found the cast of characters and creatures intriguing. The conflict of being from two different worlds, two vastly different creatures was strong and difficult to overcome. And the sex was definitely hot.
