This is a touching story of growth and love in many forms. The title says it all: A Bitch Named Karma.
Lexi, a chick lit author, thought she had it all: career success, a man she loved, and money to spend recklessly. Then that nasty old “Karma” stormed into her life and wrecked havoc. Her career is in serious danger. The man she thought she loved cheated on her. She has a one-night stand with her long-time friend, learns immediately afterward he is gay, and soon finds out she’s carrying his baby. Then a new man, a younger man, enters her life and upsets her world even more. A weaker woman would have broken under all these stresses.
I enjoyed following the growth of the heroine as she hit some big bumps in the road of life and managed to not only hang in there, but also to find a new level of maturity. The other characters were also well developed and the reader can’t help but cheering for them all.
